Here we hope you will find much of the information you should want to know about carillons and where to find them in Britain and Ireland.
The British Carillon Society was founded in 1976.
The inaugural meeting was held at St Mary’s, Lowe House, St Helens on Saturday 10th April 1976, where recitals were given by Mrs E. Garner, the resident Carillonneur and other Carillonneurs.
The principal aim of the society is to promote the art of the Carillon in the British Isles.
This is encouraged by regular meetings, the publication of a newsletter and co-operation with Carillon Societies in other countries.
